This
will be Angie Byrd's tenth year of teaching at Wanamaker Elementary. She
graduated from Shawnee Heights High School and then went on to obtain her
bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University. She received
her masters degree in instruction and curriculum development in May of 2004,
from the University of St. Mary. She
has been married six years. She enjoys her three dachshunds. Mrs. Byrd does
private tutoring for students in math and reading. She
is looking forward to a fun and productive year! |
Jeannie
Fairchild was born and raised in Topeka, Kansas. She graduated from Seaman
High School and Washburn University. Presently, she is in her 25th year
of teaching. Previously, she taught 6 years of team teaching 4th & 5th
grades at Assumption Grade School, 2 years of 6th grade at Highland Park
North, 1 year of 3rd/4th and 2 years of 4th grade at McCarter Elementary.
She is in her 14th year at Wanamaker Elementary. Her team is ready to begin
a new year with your student and hopes to provide an enriching, positive
learning experience for your child.Mrs. Fairchild and her husband have been married for 21 years. They have a 15 year old son, who is a sophomore in high school this year! She says, "Please, remember, although our team of 6th grade educators is a group of very qualified individuals, especially in their subject area---our first and foremost job is to help your student have a SUCCESSFUL year. Please, help us to do this by staying in touch throughout the year. I look forward to working with you." |

Pat
Worden is teaching 6th grade this year. She has two Master's degrees in
Special Education (Learning Disabilities and Behavioral Disorders) as well
as a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. This is her 31st year of
teaching and she has been at Wanamaker for 17 years. She is excited to be
teaching in the 6th grade again. She says, "Teaching is exciting and
working with the children is great!" |
