Mrs. Gallaway has lived in Topeka all of her life and graduated from Washburn University in 1988 with a Bachelors in Education. She taught second and third grades at Shawnee Heights Elementary School for 10 years. She left teaching in 1998 to raise a family, but continued to work on her Masters in Learning Disabilities from Emporia State University, She completed her Masters in 2000. She began teaching at Wanamaker in 2005. Mrs. Gallaway enjoys reading, walking, tennis, and spending time with her husband and two young sons. Patty Jolley is the K-3 interrelated teacher. She is looking forward to her sixth year at Wanamaker.
She grew up in Kansas City, Kansas. She has an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education from Kansas City Community College, a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from St. Mary College in Leavenworth and a Master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education from KU. Her endorsement in Elementary Special Education is from Washburn University.
She has taught regular education preschool, special education preschool and second grade - all in Kansas City, Kansas. She and her husband have three daughters. She enjoys working with children in many capacities. She especially likes seeing the spark that comes with understanding and knowing that she had a small part to play in that.

Jessica Hellmer grew up in Arlington, Nebraska. She attended Benedictine College, graduating in 2003, with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education. Mrs. Hellmer also received her Master's of Education from MidAmerica Nazarene University in July of 2005. This is her fifth year of teaching. Some of her favorite activities are running, scrap booking, and being outdoors.

Megan Lady moved to Topeka in 2006. After graduating from Tabor College with degrees in Elementary and Special Education, she taught in a K-5 Interrelated position for two years in Wichita, Kansas. She will be teaching at Indian Hills as well as Wanamaker this year.
Megan was married last March. She has many interests including traveling, scrapbooking, cheering on the Chiefs and spending time with family and friends.

Michelle South grew up in Meriden, KS. She attended Emporia State University, graduating in 1999, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary/ Special Education. This is her eighth year teaching. Mrs. South and her husband have one daughter and one son. Some of her favorite activities are spending time with her family.
